So one of my bigger pet peeves in life is people who don't clean up after themselves or start something and don't finish it or don't do it thoroughly. I mostly hate this, because I end up finishing myself. It is not cool to start something and leave it to others to finish because generally, those people don't have a clue what freaking moronic vision you had for said project.
Case-in-point: Tonight at work a certain kid decided that he was leaving earlier than everyone else so he didn't finish doing the dishes. He also had like an hour+ to do the dishes and didn't even come CLOSE to finishing. I finished them all in 15 minutes. Keep in mind that includes rinsing, scrubbing, rinsing again, soaking in sanitizer for at least 60 seconds, and then putting them all away. The individual also didn't CLEAN THEM BEFORE SANITIZING! You cannot just rinse it and shove it in the sanitizer. You have to get all the ice cream out dumb! You just freaking ruined that entire massive tub of sanitizer. Technically I should have changed it, but didn't. And because of your idiocy I left today at 12, when we close at 10fucking30! I don't know HOW you got hired since you have NO personality or people skills. I currently hate you. Quit or get fired already and go get special help because you obviously need it.

P.S.
I really suck at this short writing stuff. I don't know how you guys do it. I've always sucked at it.
Another Update to My Life
Well, I haven't written in over a week so I suppose I should. There isn't really anything I've been pondering and feel the need to write about, so I guess this will be another update-type blog.
Last night I started working at Coldstone Creamery in downtown Boise. Let me just tell you how much this job rocks. 1) free really good ice cream 2) money 3) it's not that hard to get promoted and raises 4) it's in freaking downtown Boise 5) it's on the best street in downtown Boise. That's right, 8th street. Let me tell you a little about 8th street. The amazingness of 8th street starts right about where the Coldstone shop is. This is where you can now find all the best places to eat. Everything from the Pie Hole to fancier restaurants, coffee shops, amazing sandwiches, and now fantastic ice cream. Now don't get me wrong, not all the best places to eat are on 8th street, but a very nice selection. Go farther down 8th street and you hit the Grove. Um a big open place with a fountain you can run around in and live music on occasions? I vote yes. Farther down even more you hit the best place to see midnight movie showings - Edwards Downtown. Oh yes the best theater in Boise. And oooh so cheap. Well, discounted that is. I, again, vote yes. Go down even further and you hit the LIBRARY! (not just any library, it has an exclamation point...on the building. ya it's that intense) and then you hit the green belt. SO convenient to my life. I can make it on my bike in about 15-20 minutes depending on the day. Awesome. So anyway, I'm pretty stoked about that. Plus, my friend Reggie, only like THE coolest black kid, is working there too. Talk about a party.
This week my mom and I are going to start looking for apartments for me and my friend Genevieve. So excited. There's some really cool places downtown (including one right above Coldstone. SUCH a freaking cool building. Dang, gotta love Boise.
I'm writing a lot more songs now. There's a lot of time when I'm home alone so I get to just do whatever. I hope to be hitting up the studio within the next couple of weeks. I've also got a bunch of tshirt ideas for my line. About a dozen in my head and 5 drawn and only 1 on the computer. I should probably get on that.
This week is an ENTIRE week of writing LOVE on your arm for To Write Love On Her Arms. Check out their website at towriteloveonherarms.com. This is something I really believe in guys. And I will most definitely be sporting the word LOVE or one of the campaigns many slogans on my arms all week.
And lastly, as cool as Boise is (p.s. it really is) I'm really looking forward to my vacations. In just a week and a half I get to go to Portland for the Irish dancing competition. I compete in singing on Sunday, and my sister dances Saturday and Sunday. But we are leaving Friday morning, shopping Friday (this is when I get my BEST shoes. I am in love with their Nordstroms Rack), and then I get ALL of Saturday to hang out with my friends. Austin and Brian, I am really excited to see you. Plus they have the Rose Festival that weekend (cool a festival about me, right on i vote yes) so there's a carnival and stuff. Ya I'm exciting. And THEN in A MONTH TO THE DAY I get to go to Salt Lake for another competition! I sing Friday night for this one and my sister dances Saturday. BUT this time, it means we leave Friday, I sing and then go out to dinner (and maybe WALL-E? again i vote yes) with Ellen Lo and Spencer, then ALL SATURDAY IS WARPED TOUR with Ellen and Lo! Forever the Sickest Kids here I come. It will also be my first time seeing a ton of bands like We The Kings and The Maine. I am so beyond excited for The Maine, the Kings, and the Kids. Then Sunday, well there's some issues with Sunday. The people we are driving down with want to leave Saturday. I will be so utterly disappointed if we don't stay for Sunday. Sunday is Spencer's farewell. Ellen Lo and I all really want to go together. If they leave, then boo on them. Spencer, I know I said I might not be there, and I still might not, but danged I will fly home if I have to. Which is now an option. So the possibility of all of us being there just increased very mucho. Then a month after that, my family takes a round trip cruise out of Seattle up to Alaska. This will be my third cruise to Alaska, but this time it's a different boat, different company, different just about everything. So I look forward to that. Plus I'm 19 and we stop in Victoria which means I can legally drink. And I LOVE Victoria. Sweet. Then we are into August when hopefully Ellen will be coming to stay with me in Boise for the weekend. Wahoo! And in between all of this I will be camping YAHOO! I've never been camping.
And that's it for now. I'm going to go shower? Probably. Maybe look at an apartment today. Probably play guitar. Then hit up a party. Cool.
Have good days,

just some info
Hi kids! Today I don't have a particular topic to write about. Just kind of wanted to touch base a little bit.
First off, I am sad to say that my family actually gave our Polaroid camera present to Good Will. I'm quite disappointed, but at least someone out there can rejoice. Whoever you are, please take advantage of the decreasing film supply and do well by the photography community. In more exciting news, the search for an apartment has officially begun! I look forward to house shopping with Gen. Life doesn't get much more fun than that (PS some of my friends and I like to go house shopping when we're bored (it's great you should try it) so it will be really fun to check out places knowing that I actually will be LIVING in one of them with one of the coolest girls I know). Unfortunately I am still without employment which will prove to be interesting. If anyone can hook me up please let me know!
Last night was the Exposure Music Festival hosted by and at the Venue. Great bands great fun. My dear friends We Won The Science Fair played, as well as This Misery. They both did great jobs. It was WWTSF's first time at a venue like that and they performed just fantastically. Check out both bands at their Myspace pages www.myspace.com/thismisery and www.myspace.com/wewonthesciencefair. At some point I will be giving a larger blog shout-out to WWTSF so watch for that one.
And in our last bit of news, probably the most exciting for me, is the start of my very own business! It's a clothing company which has been in the works (aka me planning it in my head and drawing) for a couple years and I feel that I am finally in a place and time where I am prepared to take on such a big challenge. I'm starting off with just tshirts, but plans for bags and shoes and accessories have been discussed. We will also have exclusive band shirts, maybe even some exclusive campaign and organizations shirts. I can't disclose too much more than that right now, but I promise to let you all know more soon.
Hope you are all having a grand summer

I Am SO Doing This!
Lets go have a Polaroid party! I'm down. I think I will make a collage of Polaroids before they are all gone. I wish I'd known about this sooner...then maybe I could have been the creative one, but hey at least SOMEONE is doing something cool.
And now go read the blog that will make all of this make sense:
http://haybale.org (p.s. cut and paste kids, I can't get the links to work. Spencer this would be your cue for help)
Here's what the Polaroid website has to say:
Notification of Polaroid Instant Film Availability
Due to marketplace conditions, Polaroid has discontinued almost all of its instant analog hardware products. Polaroid has also made the difficult decision to cease manufacturing of instant film products in 2008
read the rest at: http://www.polaroid.com/ifilm/en/index.html
P.S. if you are wondering if I have a camera that takes instant pictures, the answer would be yes. I do. A new one. My dad got it as a present from a guy he works with. They're frikin expensive! This is the same guy who gave us 6 ipod shuffles. Crazy.

My Best Friends Are Cooler Than Yours
So, my friends really like to surprise me. Ryan and Kara Wight in particular. You see, I met Ryan when I was 12, back in the seventh grade. We were in jazz band together. He was in 8th grade. By the next year we were in choir together and just best friends. We have been since. I don't remember exactly when I met the rest of his family, but I've been best friends with them since then too. Seriously kids, I stop by their house even if only Mom and Dad are home and talk to them. Kara and I became really good friends when I was in 9th grade and she was in 7th grade. Ryan went off to high school so I was sad not to be seeing him every day, but enter Kara: problem basically solved. Fast forward to high school: Ryan got me through junior year. Every up and down he was there and visa-versa. We did just about everything together. I don't know how to explain it beyond that I really depended on him. But then he graduated and went to college in Logan. I felt like we kind of drifted apart a little, but the great thing about my relationship with Ryan is that we really can go months without talking and nothing will have changed. It sounds really cliche and dumb, but we really do understand the other person without saying a thing. So anyway, he leaves and we're at senior year. I just didn't know what to do with myself at the beginning of senior year. I didn't really know who my close friends were, but that really was a blessing in disguise because it gave me the chance to reconnect with old best friends (aka Buzz Lightyear), and it also brought Kara back into the picture. We stayed friends of course while we went to different schools...very very good friends, but things are different when you see a person every day. Now we really are best best friends.
Anyway, Ryan and Kara really like to surprise me. They used to show up randomly on my doorstep and we'd sit outside in my hugemongous driveway. Rr they'd surprise me when Ryan came home from school. They were always down for some good old fashioned shenanigans. It was the greatest. Then I went away to school. Enter all the really big surprises. One day I was at school hanging out in my dorm with my friend Camille Kalkman and Ryan and Kara show up at my door. Biggest surprise ever. Then they did it again. These kids just love pulling surprises on me. There have been a lot more, but we're not getting into that now. So anyway, Ryan is on his mission now. He's been out about 2 1/2 months; in Canada about 3 weeks. And not to imply that I don't miss everyone else on missions, but I've never had a close friend leave for one, let alone my very best friend, so this whole experience has been a bit rough. I'm so glad that I have the rest of his family here, but it's not the same. I've been okay though. We try not to think about it too much, but this weekend it hit me pretty hard. I've been sitting around with not much to do and not much to think about. Ryan was ALWAYS down for an adventure when I needed one. Unfortunately, he is gone and everyone else is in school or busy with finals. So these last couple of days I've really missed him.
Enter our latest surprise:
Today I wrote him a letter and right as I was finishing my siblings wanted to have present time for my mom as today is Mother's Day. We went out and as she was opening her gifts, Kara calls me. I texted her saying I could call her back in a minute. She replied saying Ryan was on the phone and she wanted to know if there was anything I wanted them to tell him for me. First off, completely touched that this family cares enough about both of us to ask me something like that (lets keep in mind that this is the same family who asked me to come over when Ryan opened his call. Seriously, how many friends do that? It's kind of a family thing ya know? I wasn't expecting it). Anyway, I just told Kara to tell him that I had just written a letter and I miss him. I was really happy. But I still missed him. But still...very happy. Then about an hour and a half later my phone rings to tell me I have a voice mail. I didn't recognize the number so I was really confused. I thought it would be something dumb I didn't want to deal with...but no...it was "Elder Wight from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints calling, wishing you a Happy Birthday, Happy Christmas, and everything that goes with it..." Not gonna lie I got a bit teary eyed. But who wouldn't? Honestly, how many people get PHONE CALLS from their friends while their on their missions? Letters yes, calls not so much. I just wish my phone had RUNG AND NOT BEEN STUPID! But I'll take what I can get for now.
After I got the message I texted Kara in excitement. She, of course, knew but didn't tell me because she wanted to surprise me. And ya, so it's not exactly missionary protocol, but it sure made me happy and you KNOW it would make you happy too :)
I have the best, best friends :)

Water
Kids, don't ever take water for granted. I did. I learned this lesson the hard way. Over the past few years I have grown very fond of water. Seriously, it's just sooo good! Refreshing, delicious taste, it's just great.
Now, I thought I had taken water for granted already and been over it, but I guess not cuz it left me again. See, I used to drink a lot of sodas and juice I guess. Lots of orange juice. But I never really had water except a glass with dinner which I never really drank and then only when I really needed it. I got over that. Now at dinner I finish my glass before we've even sat down and have to go get another one. Sometimes two more full glasses. I used to carry around a bottle of water all the time, constantly refilling. I just loved water. And then I moved to Utah. Let me tell you kids, the tap water in Logan, UT is the WORST! It's just disgusting. Warm, metallic tasting; not at all refreshing. It sucked because even in my bathroom at home the tap water was still so good. That's probably some of the best water in the house. Shh no one knows. But this Logan water...gross. We had two sinks in the bathroom, and one in the kitchen which was also horrible. Being that close to water and being disgusted by it is one of the biggest let downs in the world. Luckily, there was a water fountain in the main building of our bdiuldings. Then they decided to turn it off. Morons. Then the ones down at Albertsons were turned off. It was an epidemic. There was no water. Luckily the Marketplace saved me and had very nice cold water for me. But still. Even taking the water from our sinks and putting it in the fridge didn't help. Kids, I almost died. I think I died a little inside. But then I would come home. Ah glorious home with fantastic water. It is great.
So since I've been home I have always had my trusty nalgene bottle with me at all times. It's great to have water again. But oh wait! That will soon come to a crashing end I am warned as we pull up to my neighborhood Wednesday evening upon my return to Boise. The city feels the need to make the pump house for the lake larger to add more tanks and more pipes, so soon they are going to turn the water off (while also occupying the only real entrance into our neighborhood. I'm not so bitter about this one though, it's fun to go through the gate that has been locked every day since our move to Boise). Today was slash is no water day. My parents told me last night, I of course forgot. My mother came in at 8:40 this morning to wake me up telling me 'you can get in the shower now, or you can go shower at the gym'. Granted the gym to which she refers is no joke a one minute drive from my house out to the main street (I don't even leave private road, how spoiled am I?), but I just didn't feel the need to go through that, even though it meant sleeping in a bit longer. So at about 10 til I finally got up and showered. No drama. Eventually they turned the water off. Luckily my mother is a thinker and filled up a couple water bottles and jugs of water. She filled up a special one for me from the fridge cuz she's the coolest(I really like the fridge water, everyone else says it's too cold and not good for me...I don't really care), unfortunately we seem to have overlooked the fact that we are all in fact fish and drink more water than probably natural. We're kind of running out. The water was supposed to be on two hours ago. They still haven't put the pipes back in the ground. We don't actually know when we will have water again. I do hope it is soon, because my hands are really oily from dinner (finger-food when there's no water - not our brightest idea), I'm really thirsty, and I would just love to brush my teeth. Oh well I guess. Hopefully the water comes on tonight. Everyone else in my house has to get up early tomorrow and shower. Dang I have to get up semi-early and shower. But it's more of a damper for them cuz they don't really have options here. I do. But still, I just really want to wash my hands.
So, I am off to grab some ice and wash away. Remember kids: don't take our beloved water for granted. And if the city is going to shut off your water and you think you have enough for one day without water, go fill more bottles so you have double the amount from when you started. I promise it's the right move.
have good days
later

I promise it's the right move.
have good days
later
