Holy Hannah I'm Tired
Seriously kids, I am wiped out! I haven't felt this tired in quite sometime. It probably doesn't help that I stay up until around 2 every night, and don't wake up until noon, but still I shouldn't be this tired. First off, I blame my job. For anyone who didn't already know, I recently started working at Coldstone. I believe I mentioned that I love working downtown, which I do, but we NEVER get a break. We're supposed to have one every 2 hours. That doesn't happen. I blame my manager. Dislike. Anyway, it is basically a constant circulation of customers. Also, dislike. And I always work nights. Like always. As in I've never worked anything but. 5 nights a week. It starts to take a toll. Especially when people are SO SLOW at closing that you're not getting out until 11:40 when we lock the doors at 10 and are supposed to be out at 1030. Yes, there is something wrong with that. Again, I blame my manager because that only happens when she is there. She hardcore slows us down. Frick.
Second, I went wakeboarding again yesterday which was fantastic, but then went to a concert tonight. Not my brightest idea. But my dear friends who make up We Won The Science Fair were playing and I just had to support. So yes, after those two adventures I can't really walk. You should see me, I'm pathetic.
And to top everything off, all of my spare time is spent with friends, searching for a house, writing music, and working on my business. There seriously aren't enough hours in the day. I come home from work, zone out in front of the television, go to bed, get up and search and work, maybe see friends, and then go to work. This week I have had Tuesday, and today Thursday off. Now I get to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night (keep in mind we are only supposed to work ONE day of the weekend, but luckily Sunday I will be shift leader which means I'm in charge wahoo), have a meeting Monday, work Tuesday, and then probably Wednesday and Thursday. All nights. But then, I get to go to Salt Lake.
Seriously, I am beyond excited for SLC kids. Friends, concerts...what else could I ask for? It's basically my favorite things in one weekend. The break will be VERY much appreciated. But until then, well I think I'll be a bit of a hermit for awhile and recover. Like now, I will go zone with the television, then go to bed. Then when I wake up my mom will drive around town with me looking at places, and then I'll go to work. Ew work. P.S. my dad and uncle are playing in a festival tomorrow night. I was supposed to go and play with them, but guess who has to work. Oooooh that would be me.
Kids, I'm just tired. Do not follow my example. It just hurts.
I'm going to bed
peace. love. later

Bikes and Their Tires
So I'm a bit bitter right now. It's a wonderfully warm day today so I thought to myself, why not take a lovely bike ride downtown to pick up your first pay check. Great. I got ready to go and while talking to my mother, really debated whether I should bike or not. I mean, it actually is quite hot outside, but I'd be biking and have the wind in my face. But I'm go to the Miss Idaho pageant tonight and don't want to have to shower again because I've become all sweaty, oh who cares I won't get that sweaty I mean hello I'm biking and I'll have that lovely wind in my face. Plus, my house is nice and cool so I'd be just fine. So I decided to bike. I also decided to finally bike my bike a nice cleaning before I went because it was rather dirty. And then I was off.
Kids, today I made the wrong decision. I should have driven. The bike down was fine. I listened to The Rocket Summer's Calendar Days album. Great album. Anyway, got to Coldstone, got my check, all was well. I hopped back on my bike and went on my way back to the homestead. Again, all was well. A little hot, but nothing I couldn't handle. And then it happened. The worst thing that could have happened. Ok definitely not the worst, but still, it sucks and it just keeps happening to me. That's right, my tire popped.
Now let me first explain my history with tires popping. A couple summers ago, I believe the summer before junior year, yup that was it, I biked a ton with my good friend Genevieve (who is btw the one in the Miss Idaho pageant tonight). We would bike to her house, to my house, downtown, just everywhere we could. And then this great thing happened. All of those stupid little thorn goat head things got everywhere. It wasn't a very cold winter before then, so there was double the amount. I popped the tires of every single one of our mountain bikes. It was horrible.
I haven't popped a bike tire since. Reasons: not as many goat heads, I'm not doing as much off roading as I used to, and I have my wonderful cruiser with thick great tires. One of the best reasons to have a cruiser are the thick street tires. They're great. But today, my back tire popped. It's been over 2 years and I haven't had any problems (if you don't count the shipping problem that took 3 months to solve), until today. I'm quite disappointed. I still don't know what caused the problem. Stupid sharp things.
Luckily, my parents are willing to get my a new tire first thing in the morning. Which is kind of odd because they have yet to fix any of the tires on the other bikes I popped. I think because I now have a wicked sweet cruiser they are more willing. That, and because I'm emotionally dependent on it. One of the two.
Well, I am hungry so I am off to eat and get ready for the pageant.
Have good days kids,
and be nice to your bikes
later
P.S. I have recently realized that many of my posts are oddly similar to Spencer's. Spencer, I don't mean to, this is just what happens to me! It's weird.

chillin in a hotel
So today I just wanted to say a couple of things. First, don't flake on people. It's tacky. Also tacky: talking in an abnormally loud voice all the time especially if you already have a natural nasally tone, ripping people off, scamming people (oh dear me I have not even told you guys about the scam someone tried to pull on me, a $2000 scam...that is for another blog), slamming doors, and high waisted pants with high waisted shirts, like ew guys really? We are not in the 90s so take out that huge wad of gum you are chewing like a cow, let down that slicked back hair and give your face a break from the natural face-lift you've got going on and take off the choker necklace. Seriously you look like Renee Zellweger and it is not attractive. Second, I love making plans. Well ok maybe not. I love feeling like I've accomplished a lot during my day, and that usually means I need to make plans so I get everything done. P.S. I almost ended in a preposition, which is also tacky. Anyway, what I really love is to be spontaneous. But a lot of people aren't so spontaneous, it's quite sad. But whatever, some people are and I love those people. But I do enjoy making plans. Especially when I'm on trips because I don't always have the luxury of being completely spontaneous. Sometimes I do though and I really enjoy those times. Third, I really want to bring that whole cheek-to-cheek kiss greeting thing back into style. I know a lot of people do it at business meetings, but I think it needs to be mainstream again. Hug and cheek kiss thing. Ya I think that works. I mean in Europe they do both sides, we could at least do one. I think both is pushing it a bit much. And lastly for tonight, I really like shoes. I sometimes find it quite a shame that I have fallen into such a cliched womens obsession, but I have. It's just that I'm really into bright and bold colors and such, especially if the whole outfit is focusing on one bold piece. Many people do this with jewelry but I'm not too terribly much of a jewelry person. I can just rarely find that PERFECT piece. But not with shoes. Nope, shoes always come in exactly what I'm looking for. Except for heels. Though I did find some hot pink heels today for $50. The $50 part really turned me off though. Shame. This weekend I did finally find a good pair of black converse, and then these wonderful pieces below. Harajuku I pick you! I was quite frustrated because Nordstroms Rack in Portland, where I seem to be getting a lot of my best shoes, didn't have anything good. No good shoes, no good clothes. It was kind of a waste.
Then I found these and my sister found a great outfit and then we got it in colors I would actually wear. Great. Let me tell you kids, my younger brother and sister know how to shop. Most of the time. But I have taught them well. Oh dear, I just have to tell you, we went to dsw, this shoe store that was supposed to be just 'so great' (it's where I saw the hot pink heels) and they were selling shoes for $50 that I would normally get for $18. Seriously, Sketchers, Keds, and Rocketdogs you can get for cheap! Don't by them for more than $22 tops! And the same goes for anything that looks like those brands. Seriously people wise up. Sheesh.
Anyway, Erin (the little sis) and I both compete in the feis (fesh, an Irish dancing competition) tomorrow. I guess I should pick a song to sing. But not now. It's 11 p.m. and I'm off to the gym and the pool. Hopefully everyone will finally be GONE and I'll have it all to myself. Lovely. Soon to come, a great blog I've been working on in my head. Great. Very involved. Multiple media to be used. It'll be just great.

Tips
Once upon a time, I read an article on MSN about tipping. It gave certain conditions for tipping and who to tip and how much. Everything from your waiter, mailman, to the guy who changes your tires. It was an eye opener. Unfortunately, I don't remember much from it. But I do remember that now adays it is customary to tip 20% for your waiter or waitress. Not just 15%. From what I hear, tipping.org is supposed to give accurate tipping guidelines.
Anyway, the point is, tips are great. Especially when you are getting above minimum wage already, not waitress-wage. Ew waitress-wage. Today I got my first real tips. At Blimpie we weren't allowed to accept tips, but sometimes we did anyway cuz the customer insisted. Then we would turn around and use that to buy our dinner. But at Coldstone, we get tips. Tonight I made $7. Right on folks, right on! Which means, that we actually made $35 tonight. Unfortunately it was split 5 ways. But that won't really happen anymore cuz we've been training, but ya long story short, I get more tips. So tip, cuz I like the extra money :)
